NOS M38 Willys Jeep Top Bow Thumb Screw, with Chain and Ring (1ea)

NOS M38 Jeep top bow thumb screw with chain and ring. The part numbers are 5305-769-7593 & WO-674790 & G740-7697593 & ORD-7697593 . This thumb screw is corrrect for all M-38 Jeeps. Two are required per vehicle. Other Post/WWII military applications might also exist. Use your manuals, inspect your trucks, ask questions; know what you are buying! The thread pitch is 16 tpi (coarse). These are not correct for WWII-era Jeeps. We do not accept returns.

As can be seen from the pictures, these thumb screws are NOS. No original packaging will be provided as these were bulk packed into a single box of 50 pieces. These were purchased from another collector who purchased them from a water well drilling company here in Paso Robles, CA some 25 years ago that used 5-Ton military trucks as the basis of their truck fleet. I would guess that these came along with DLA auction lots purchased at either Camp Roberts or Camp San Luis Obispo in the 70’s and 80’s. These are not reproductions, we have had these longer than reproductions have been available. These came in two finishes one was cad plated and dipped in cosmoline. The other was painted. What we have left are the painted ones. These are the real thing. You are buying one each.
