WWI Vickers Machinegun Belt Loader Case (1ea)

This wooden box was identified as a machinegun belt loader case for the U.S. made Vickers machineguns, circa 1920’s. The red painted line indicates it’s use.

The box appears to be oak. Tool outlines are inletted into the bottom of the chest. It appears that dividers have been removed from inside the chest. I don’t know if this chest has been modified for some other use.
