Used Ammo Crate for 75mm M1A1 Pack Howitzer (1ea)

We believe this is a WWII period ammo crate which was “reconditioned” post-wwii. The original stencils were over-sprayed and new markings added. The new markings show the ammo it once held was loaded in 1943. I believe the new paint could be gently removed with a modest amount of work. Crate is empty.
