We’ve received some constructive feedback while at the MVPA convention in Louisville. A regular visitor to the site described the time to load some pages as taking “minutes”. We are currently looking into this situation and are hoping to resolve this ASAP. I believe the problem lies in the fact that we have been using “high” resolution (9MB) .jpg images to support the product listings. It was our hope that by providing images that would let you zoom in and inspect potential purchases very closely, it would aid you in your decision to buy.
Going forward, we will be using lower resolution images to help speed load time for product pages. Further, we are looking into plug-ins that will re-size existing images on the site so that the image files are smaller, thus requiring less time to load.
